OVERVIEW
The Shasta-Tehama-Trinity Joint Community College District (Shasta College) sits at the northern end of the Sacramento Valley, surrounded by mountains to the north, east, and west. DESCRIPTION OF BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direction of the Asst. Superintendent/Vice President or designee, provide overall direction and guidance to the day-to-day operations, problem solving and decision-making regarding assigned projects including implementing project policies and guidelines; providing project reporting and accountability; providing work direction and guidance to other project personnel; and establishing and monitoring project budgets. Employees in this position work autonomously and receive minimal supervision. This is an administrative, overtime exempt position.
This position will be supporting project management in the Administrative Services Division, mostly in Information Services and Technology Support.
CLASSIFICATION: Range 20 on the Administrative Confidential Salary Schedule, 40 hours per week, 12 months per year. Work assignment hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00p.m., Monday through Friday. This is a classified administrator position with a default CalPERS retirement.
SUPERVISOR: Assistant Superintendent/Vice President of Administrative Services or designee

New Administrative Appointments will be placed at the step 1 on the Administrative Salary Schedule and will graduate to the next step on July 1st of the following year if they have rendered 5 months of satisfactory service, with subsequent steps annually thereafter to a maximum fifth step.
Salary placement would only be negotiable if the candidate held the same position with another community college and step 2 or 3 would be the maximum considered depending on the number of years of service.

- Organizes, coordinates, directs, and supervises the activities and operations of the assigned projects.
- Provides overall direction and guidance to the day-to-day operations, problem solving and decision making regarding assigned projects; implements project policies and directives according to District, federal or State guidelines.
- Prepares grant reporting documentation and serves as the primary contact for large projects or multi-projects.
- Plans, coordinates and prepares a variety of materials used for public relations purposes.
- Provides work direction and guidance to others assigned to the projects.
- Conducts regular meetings to communicate, review and revise project guidelines.
- Develops, recommends and implements project plans and objectives; coordinates planning and logistical items with project participants; assures participation guidelines are followed.
- Assures project expenditures are within allocated budgets; monitors budgets; proposes budget changes and participates in project budget applications as necessary.
- Provides regular reports to management and federal/State agencies as requested; participates on project reviews; assures project compliance with federal or State project guidelines.
- Serves as liaison between project staff, participants, external partners, administrators and faculty; provides information, project requirements and other pertinent information.
- Develops, coordinates, promotes and oversees a broad range of projects.
- Serves as project administrator in the absence of project supervisors.
- Performs other related duties similar to the above in scope and function as required.

Experience/Education
Education Required:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education.
- California community college experience.

- Demonstrated success in working collaboratively and cooperatively with campus personnel and internal/external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated successful interpersonal communication and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated sensitivity to, and understanding of, the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds of staff and students, as well as staff members and students with physical and/or learning disabilities.
